THE Totally Random Thread

I want Mexican food!
I have not gotten the chance to get a single taco!!!
Today I found myself fantisizing about TacoBell
It was odd
I was chasing a soft steak taco up the Eiffel tower stairs which then mysteriously changed into the stairs to tacobell.
I want a taco!!!!

taco bell is so not a taco :D
says my hispanic friend XD

but it's damn good. i can't eat them cuz we have like maybe one taco bell in the whole frickin city (which is the only civilization here pretty much) and you have to pay to get in to the place that has the taco bell chain (with various other chains)

pizza hut pizza hut kentucky fried chicken and a pizza hut!

Haha I'm half Hispanic but I don't know diddly squat about that side of me. I'm too white I need to embrace my Spanish blood. Haahahaha

Did you get my pm west coast?

Totally random question. For schools whose dress code does not allow spaghetti strap dresses, do you think they would mind if you wore one and kept a sweater on the whole day? You can still tell that it's spaghetti strap, even with the sweater, but obviously my shoulders are covered and everything. Dress codes will be the death of me, I swear.

I'm sure it would be okay, tho im not sure. see how strict they are before trying it.

Alright, I have a random question myself. So I'm off to a smaller, less competitive BS this year, only because stupidly I only applied to one and didn't get into it, so I applied late to a few smaller BS's and was accepted. Now I'm going there this year, but I really want to go to a bigger one. I want to transfer, and i know kids from my new school have done it. The only problem is the SSAT's. I'm in school all of the dates because we have Saturday classes. What do I do? Should I talk to my advisor and see if I could get there. What do you all think??

First of all, I would wait and see whether you like the school you are going to. Even if a bigger school seems more appealing, you could end up loving the smaller one. If you decide you still want to transfer, then I think talking to your advisor would be a good idea. I don't really know how it works if you need to do something on Saturday, but I would think they would let you miss classes one week for something like the SSATs. You could also have your parents call and talk to..whoever would be able to make that decision. Sorry, I'm not much help here. xD Someone more informed can answer.

Oh, I feel really stupid. But I just read over the posts in this thread and I though Westcoast_ was a guy as well.
oops lol :)

alice: If you're willing to pay, there are special accommodations made on occasion, I'm almost sure of it

i have changed my location to tell you guys, i aint one :P
are my posts like, manly or something??? LOL

btw alice, that SSAT thing isn't really a problem because missing a class for any valid reason is probably ok with the school. missing classES for invalid reasons multiple times wouldn't be.
i suggest you focus more on whether you'd like to be in the school you'll going to attend or if you really really do want to apply out. i know what your position is like because i've been faced with that decision before, but here's my advice: make sure you learn to like your school, because applying out somewhere else definitely makes the school (students faculty etc) feel very rejected by you. and don't do it just because it'll affect the quality of your recs. learn to love all the places you've lived in :)
