The Turn of the Screw?

I just finished reading it for summer reading for AP lit and comp, and i thought it'd help me increase my vocab for SAT also. I think it did help with that partially but in regards to the summer reading part...i have to write an essay about it and the question confuses the 39r230232039042934e2@!(!@#E$#@R out of me.

"Write a paper discussing Henry James attitude towards the novel's subject and how he reveals the attitude"

what the hell is his attitude towards it...its a "ghost" and psychological story..

appreciate the help

after much thinking i reasoned this: the author is somehow conveying his feeling through the governess (who is telling the story). So whatever the governess feels on the topic…which is ghosts and miles’ death…that is what the author is feeling? any ideas on this epiphany?

Wrong forum maybe?
