The typical courseload...

As a senior, the AP courseload we follow is as follows:
Calc: daily assignments
chem: packets due on test day
govt: packets due test day
english: a 400 or so page book every week

How does this compare to Stanford? obviously this is very light compared, but im curious...could you describe the typical studytime per class?

It depends on the classes you chose.

of course you are correct, so what about an average?

The rule of thumb used to be two hours of study for every hour in class. Figure on spending 15 hours a week in class.

eww. you have 400 pages to read every week?
wow. i heart my less strenuous workload.

i went to a question/answer session this afternoon for SCEA admits, and the alumni said the homework is mostly readings, and you'll get some problem sets if applicable to the subject - math/science etc.
