The ultimate steal- microsoft office

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here got MS Office through the ultimate steal website. I looked at their eligibility requirements, and it said you needed to have an .edu email and that you had to prove you were currently enrolled. Since I am a graduated high school senior, would I be able to get the ultimate steal, even though I'm not currently enrolled in college classes yet (but will be in the fall)? Or is this too much hassle, and would I be better off just buying MS office student edition?

Thanks

Yeah, you should be able to get it at a discount as long as you have a .edu email address.

I have had a friend who used it, and he had no problems, BUT I’d ask your school’s IT department (or engineering if you happen to be one) about any special programs they might have. Some schools have special programs where the school subsidizes part or all of the cost of some programs.

Many CS and IS students can get Microsoft products for free from their departments which should have the distribution CDs.

On TUS, I think that the requirement is just an email address.

My son has this on his computer. Great deal!

Have you taken a look at OpenOffice.org, a free alternative?
