DON’T PURCHASE ALL OF THIS BEFORE YOU GO!!!
the most you should get is bedding and maybe one or two things you can’t find somewhere else. There is no sense in lugging all of this around with you on a long (possibly international like me) flight!!! just bring personal items and MAYBE something else, then BUY THE REST THERE!!! THIS WILL SAVE YOU A BUTTLOAD OF TIME, EFFORT, AND PACKING!!!

That’s a LOT of items…I actually like to minimize the amount of things I keep in my room because clutter is distracting.

That or buy them at home and UPS them to your school. :)

eh, i wouldn’t. Is it so much of a hassle to make a run to the nearest Target?
UPSing takes time and money and not everything can be shipped/will survive. I’m only doing that for books, winter clothes, beddong, anthing that I can’t buy there that it is more trouble than it’s worth to bring with me.

Ya, you have a point, but I’m pretty sure I could find cheeper things here than there.

Actually, what would probably work best is just ordering online and getting it shipped to the school…

Not all of it, but a lot of it…

Would it be alright to just go with someone to buy all your loads of stuff when you get there? Like maybe a few weeks afterwards with a teacher or something I suppose?

Or maybe my parents can stay awhile and buy it with me before they leave. Or just buy it online and have it shipped in.

My friend actually sends one big box for $400 up to Choate. She shops in NYC for some other stuff… She also stores some stuff on campus during the terms… She brings two suitcases from Florida up to NYC and sends one box full of stuff like uniforms, swimsuits(stuff you don’t really buy). I helped her pack and it really took like three days… PLus she forgot stuff.

I am:

shipping SOME things to Middlesex (i.e. bedding, winter clothes, books, etc. things that I don’t need in the last few weeks at home but will at Mx)

taking SOME things with me (i.e. toiletries, summer clothes, laptop. things i use every day)

buying the REST in Boston (i.e. office supplies, most toiletries, some furnishings. things I can buy just as easily there as I can here but don’t want to have to ship.)

I think that the list should be huge… I mean who knows what you might want to take and what you might not? Maybe you see something you want to bring?
