The University of Texas Class of 2020 Decisions Thread

Thanks! @shaninbe I was not sure whether my age would be a hook or an obstacle (colleges might think I am too young). At least it is something that stands out among the applicants!

Send my application in nov 18th, my transcript was processed on the 19th and got my auto admit notification this morning!

@maxentius, congratulations on your achievements - you’ve got much to be proud of.

Are you sure that you are emotionally prepared for college? I ask not to appear condescending but to stress that it can be more trying than most would care to admit. When I was about your age (12, I believe, at the time), I was told my many teachers and administrators alike that testing through high school and applying to college the following year was what was necessary. While I was excited, my parents understood that at the age of 12 I wasn’t yet emotionally mature enough to handle the stresses of a college classroom, and so I attended high school like normal and am much the more well-rounded for it. Is this something you’re certain you want to do?

gonetoTexas banner arrived in the mail today. Hook 'em :)

Did you click ‘accept’ before you got the banner? I was auto accept but haven’t clicked yet because I’m waiting to hear from another school in early December. I haven’t received anything snail mail but I was guessing that’s because I haven’t formally accepted.

@bentgrass4 - no, have not clicked ‘accept’ yet.

@cookiesaregreat Do you mind sharing your stats?

Does anyone know when the next wave of admission will be? Would it be after thanksgiving break since people are on holiday?

@JTUni20 based on comments I read from last year I would expect the next wave of decisions to come out late December, just before Christmas.

I sent my application in early October and I’m from Boston, Massachusetts. Does anyone have any idea of when I should expect to hear back?

If you submitted before October 15, you should hear back by December 20, though they have said that this may not be possible given the volume of applications they are expecting.
