In Jester, only every 3-4 rooms control the thermostat. I know that Andrews, Carothers, and probably San Jac and Duren has a thermostat in every room. What about the other dorms?

bumping my question

I’ve been looking everywhere for the housing rates for dorms, can anyone help me out? I know the housing rates for san jac, duren, comm/private, etc, I’m talking about each residence hall’s price. For instance jester is supposed to be the cheapest? I remember there was a link when I applied for housing last year but I think it’s gone…

[Division of Housing and Food Service - Prices](UHD Homepage | University Housing and Dining)

Yeah I found that already. I guess they haven’t been posted. Like I said I know those rates I’m just saying that some dorms for instance jester, are cheaper than say kinsolving. Last year there was a page that showed individual residence hall prices and this was what I was looking for. Thanks anyway tho.

according to the link, a shared space w/ community bath in Jester, Moore-hill, Roberts, Brackenridge, Littlefield, Simkins, and the honors dorms would all cost $8,184, which is the cheapest you can get on-campus. they just didn’t list each individual dorm because that would be redundant and lengthy.

Is it still possible to get a single room at this time. I got my room contract now and have until tomorrow to agree to the contract

bumping. anyone. I have read hmf123’s comments from a year ago, and I guess the answer is no(??)

my brother just got into UT and A&M and is already getting mail from off campus apartments. Do the schools sell student information to these places? Kinda upsetting

will ut have any available dorms when transfers start getting acceptance letters in mid april?

Jaysen, have you submitted your housing application?

From the UT website for transfers: “You do not need to be admitted before you apply for housing.”

Here’s a link to help you out. Good luck!

[Housing | Transfer | Be a Longhorn](http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/transfer/housing/index.html)

Thanks givings for the reply
yes i submitted it a couple of weeks ago but i was just wondering would it be possible for them to not have any spaces available?

do they give preference to students in the honors program for honors housing?

Slemtem - yes, they do. I believe each honors program has a certain number of spots for their students in honors housing.

thanks. um, i applied for housing a week back and still havent got a housing contract, when can i expect one by?

The UT website says that if you put honors on your list, they will put you in honors and ignore your other choices. Is this true? Can we not put San Jac or Duren ahead of honors and have honors as a backup?

The website is as you read it. Honors interest takes priority. You cannot use it as a backup plan after San Jac or Duren. (Too bad, really…)

I have many questions, and I would be very thankful if y’all could help me out.

What if my roomate wants Honors housing and IS in the Honors program, but I’m not? Can we still room in the Honors housing? I’m planning on transferring to the Liberal Arts/Plan II program asap.

It’s already April 4th, and I haven’t paid my enrollment fee, although I have already paid my $50 housing deposit. What does this mean? Is it too late to get a good dorm?

I’m a girl, pretty studious, not into partying, needs a quiet place to study most of the time, and really private. Would San Jac. be a good place?

~Thanks!

I put in my $50 deposit in late March, do I have a good chance or any chance at all at getting into any of my housing choices? and preferably Moore-Hill?

Yeah, I have the same question. I wasn’t seriously considering UT Austin until this week, so I only paid my $50 deposit a couple days ago. If I do attend, I probably won’t send in my enrollment deposit for another couple weeks (after I receive final financial aid offers from other schools).

Do I have any chance at all of getting into a building other than Jester?
