Post your results here starting at 4:30 PM EST. This is for the regular decision and early action applicants as well. Most likely, the site will crash once again when everyone tries to log on all at once, so just be patient and keep trying.

I just got accepted to UGA with exceptionally low SAT scores.

Ranked 10 out of 219 in my class; SAT Verbal: 460, SAT Math:530, SAT Writing: 490... ACT English: 22 and ACT Math: 23. I'm a horrible test taker, but I guess they liked my short essays and everything else!

Patel,
I am so happy for you that I have tears in my eyes! Nobody on here wanted it more than you! I am thrilled! I am hoping and praying that is where my daughter ultimately ends up going. Congrats to you and have a wonderful summer!!
Maleah's mom..... :)

I'm kind of surprised there aren't more people here. I also went on the site today just to see if it crashed like it did in December, and it was running fine. I wonder if it's because most people think it's not until Tuesday the 1st.

re-jected. and relatively ****ed as well.
3.4 gpa: 6 ap's and 5 honors courses
31 act
good ec's; writing is my strength, so my essays definitely were not bad.

I have a horrible feeling that I am going to end up at my last choice school. Good luck to all whom await a decision.

Wait listed
GPA 3.85
SAT 1170
Loads of EC's

onlineathens.com reports a record 17,600 applied. Applications have increased 40% since 2005. The UGA waiting list will be longer than usual this year. The goal is to admit 4800 incoming freshman.
Congrats to all and good luck to the waiting!

OK, you wait listed guys...I was going to pay the committment deposit just as a backup in case something went awry w/ son's first choice...but since his best friend is wait listed too, we are not committing...so someone will move up one on the wait list...we hope it's his friend!

3.68 GPA
6 APs and 1 weighted course
3 years of consecutive foreign language
Good ECs and essay
29 ACT
1250 (out of 1600) SAT
Top 10% of my class

I think ECs play an important role too because one of my friends has a lower GPA and test scores than me but better ECs and he was waitlisted so I don't think that UGA looks mainly at GPA contrary to popular belief.

Anyways I'm planning to attend one of my backups for a year and transfer so does anyone know how that works and if it's easier to get accepted?

oh yeah and can anyone tell me if ALL of Georgia's colleges/universities use the plus minus grading scale?
