Haha, I’ve been stuck around 48-49 for US too. But I usually rush through and finish in like 15 minutes which causes me to make stupid mistakes.

Physics was meh. Some really dumb questions that the regents throws in there messed me up. Based on the curve they posted and what I think I got wrong, I should end up with a 93-94ish score.

English on Friday will be interesting to say the least.

Today I took the Global regents. I felt well prepared for it, but a lot of the content was from Global 1, therefore making it a bit more difficult. The essays were like a Christmas gift, I feel like I did well.

For the thematic essay [geographic features] I wrote about rivers and mountains. I talked about the mountains in the Incan Empire; they adapted by using terrace farming and policies of subsistence since altitude and isolation prevented them from interacting with other civilizations. For rivers, I wrote about Great Britain and its success. Great Britain was able to create a leading navy, they traded, cultural diffusion, etc.

For the DBQ [leaders] I discussed Shi Huangdi and Peter the Great of Russia. Did anyone else feel like all of the information you needed for the essay was given in the documents? I think an eighth grader could have taken the essay part of the exam and received a great grade.

I feel like Mastery is in reach.

I still have to take the Geometry regents [totally freaking out, only looking to pass] and the Earth Science Regents. For the practical, I received 13/16. How did you guys do on the Lab Practical?

I think I got a 15/16 on the practical. I can’t really remember since I took it in 8th grade.

I have U.S. History in the morning, which should be pretty easy.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the Geometry regents, by the way. It’s not too bad, especially if you’ve taken previous exams as practice. I know my year was like the second year to take it, so I only had a test or two to practice with.
