Is there a way to record this parade if one can't watch it live online?

From dear Mz. Shirley up at Kp comes:

This Friday afternoon, 25 July 2008, at 1600 hours the annual Indoctrination Parade will take place on Tomb Field. All hands and parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Please, if you can, come out in support of the Class of 2012 recognizing the great strides they have made during the last two weeks toward becoming Midshipmen at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. The parade will be broadcasted and as soon as I have the URL address, I will send it on to you.

We expect DOIT will be distributing the plebe laptops this Wednesday evening. Also, the Catholic Mass time for Sundays is now back to 10:00 AM and the first Sunday of August parents can sit with their plebes. Please share this with your members. Thanks.

To the question of where we are from 2000 miles away. No not arizona and his initials are amb. I have no idea what information is safe to give out as I have never participated in this kind of discussion forum before. Please forgive me if I don't do it correctly - then again I can feel at one with my son who says no one does anything correctly!

SuperSusan,
Thanks for your reply. None of us know all the rules yet either and quite frankly we're both novices but it's interesting so far. Love reading everyone's comments. Thanks for sharing.

Jamzmom, where did you get the info from Ms Shirley? Is there a link to her information? Thanks!

Sorry, no link Ftgordon. It was an email she'd sent out to the Presidents of Parent's Assoc.

This might sound a bit off the wall but does anyone happen to know if it would be o.k. to bring a small dog along on Fri. Haven't been able to find a dog sitter yet.

I'm not sure what the official policy on dogs on campus is, but there are always dogs that live on campus. I doubt anybody would say anything to you about having a dog on a leash if you stayed off to the side in the grassy area and not up on in the bleachers.

As your sons/daughters will soon learn: "sometimes it is better to beg forgiveness than ask permission."

Thaks KP2001, I doubt I will be bringing him but thought I would feel it out. I appreciate the response.

Actually beginning this year the Regiment has their own dog. It is a puppy from the See Eye program. He will be turned over just before graduation to the organization for further training. I understand this is going to be a yearly regimental project.

I see that the link is up for the Parade at 4:00 PM tomorrow.

I hope that my computer doesn't freeze.

Take care,

I have to use my computer at home which has a direct cable line (and, because it doesn't go through a network works best.) My computer at work doesn't seem to work well, already it won't let me use Windows Media.
