I think it's only one year from what I've heard, but you could be right.

Well my Algebra class was mostly review for the first half, then we got into the hard stuff. I took the SAT during the review half.

Of course there are two Spanish AP exams. AP Spanish Language is usually taken during Spanish 4, and AP Spanish Literature taken during Spanish 5. However, since AP exams are administered once a year (AFAIK), I'm not sure exactly how the examinations will work if you take both the same year (same with AB/BC - are you taking both exams, or just the AB course, BC course, and BC exam?)

Feedback on statistics... you may want to learn more math independent of school. Have you taken Math IIC?

its stated blantantly at collegeboard you are not allowed to take both BC and AB test on the same year.
You may not take both:

Calculus AB and Calculus BC in one year
Computer Science A and Computer Science AB in one year
yeah... i dont know where ur from... but the offical AP curriculum from collegeboard is the same for AB and BC except BC is 1 year of college and AB is half... even the exams are cross-overs, BC having some AB stuff and beyond.

ur schedule sounds kinda unreal/impossible.... take some DIFFERENT classes... instead of calc ab, take ap chem or something; instead of both ap spanish 4 AND 5, take spanish 4 or 5, and then french 4 or 5 or SOMETHING LIKE THAT... or latin or something... nobody takes the same classes... that's repetitive. physics is a different story. one is calc based and the other isnt. but if u havent taken calc yet, its like, REALLY not suggested to take physics c

I haven't taken any SAT subject tests yet. Yeah it's confusing, some classes I'll be taking administer the AP exam on the same day at the same time. It's going to be confusing the next two years with my load of APs.

You're exactly right by the way. AP Spanish 4 is Language, AP Spanish 5 is literature.

texasmathwhiz... i am hardly a mathwhiz... but with almost no algebra background i got a 720 math in 7th grade...

So I'll take the BC exam, not the AP exam.

Cujoe I'm not engaging in a comparison of statistics thank you very much though.

xokandykyssesox, please explain to me why I am taking classes that are impossible. Otherwise remove yourself from my thread please.

I don't need your approval of the possibility of the classes I'm taking. If this continues I will gladly tell the mods to get rid of this thread.

But I'd prefer not to do that.

By the way, in 7th grade you took the old SAT. I did that too, 770 math, if you really do want to compare.

That was quantitative comparisons and that stuff, not higher level high school algrebra.

Texasmathwhiz -- Don't send the computer program. If you're serious about computer science, then you'll have written better programs by the time you're ready to apply to college; and if your main intrest isn't computer science, then sending the program might be a bit superfluous.

BTW, if you are looking to cut back for your senior year, I suggest dropping environmental science and putting one of your senior year classes into junior year. (if that's possible)

Yeah I'm gonna try to put one of those senior year courses into junior year, I was going to talk to my counselor today but I didn't, Monday I guess.

By the way I wasn't actually that serious about sending the program, I'm not majoring in Comp. Sci. anyway.

Thank you very much for your advice, which carried a much greater degree of relevancy than the previous posts have.

How about your AMC & AIME scores? For the top schools a high score on these contests can outweigh the sat math section. Also the SAT score is way too low for the UCS even if you were instate and try taking some aps junior year instead of the preaps. there isn't really any point in taking preaps.

Good news is it's my sophomore year, I'll be taking the SAT again. I'm starting math UIL, haven't done that AMC and AIME stuff.

wow, usually u take amc 10 frosh year

Well they didn't offer it at my school, and I'm not that interested, so that's why I haven't taken it.

Thanks dude, but are you considering the fact that 1800 is not my final SAT score. It was merely testing the waters for how much preparation I'll need, I'm not keeping a sophomore SAT.

1800 is pretty good for a sophmore...So far I've gone up about 300 points from my sophmore score. If you work hard there is no reason you can't have well over a 2000, then all of your schools would be well within reach. Good luck!
I did the same thing with the SAT's...took them before I took Algebra 2, everything will be much clearer once you get to functions, absolute value, graphing, etc.

Thank you very much dude. Maybe you're being too nice but I'm glad you said that. My counselor claimed it was "phenomenal", I'll take "pretty good".

I got 120 points above what the prediction based on my PSAT would have been.

What did you get sophomore year?

I got a 1600 (PSAT) something and I thought it was pretty good lol (sophmore year), Now I have 1860. At my school most don't take Algebra II until Junior year so my October SAT's were only 1160 :( but I haven't even finished Algebra II and they went up 100 points already.
Well its stupid for people getting hung up on your course selection,,,our schedule is different from most schools- 2 semesters of 4 classes each so you can do different things--like doubling up on classes etc.

I got a 168 on my PSAT. My courses have odd titles for the purpose of sequencing, English 1-4 makes sense right. The underlying titles and curriculums remain the same though.

If you don't mind me asking, are you from Lewisville ISD because I'm on that weird schedule.
That's why I can double up if you noticed.

I don't know what Lewisville ISD is...I assume its a place...I'm from NJ :) As far as I know we are the only school that does this type of classes. The only part that sucked was AP Comp this year was only half a year so we lost months of prepping :( Lots of kids at my school doubled up on Spanish 3/4 or 4/5 or on a math class.
We have English 1-4, World 1, US 1-2, than Spanish 1-5.

The best way to study for the SAT's is to look at what you did wrong. I just used to take tons of practice tests and really only look at my scores to determine improvement. Analyze what you need to do right the next time.
