Since people are now free to add and drop classes on SIS, I have begun reworking my schedule so as not to include classes I signed up for with the last registration time at orientation earlier this summer. With that said, I'm noticing most classes are still either closed or have a wait list. This is not really my concern as today is the first day of open enrollment, but my question is how often you get into a class for which you have put yourself on a wait list. For example, I'm currently behind 6 people on a wait list for Calculus III, should I abandon this class or just hold out for the couple weeks?

Hold out. I was placed 4th on the wait list for Calc 1 last night, and have since moved up to 2. Granted, Calc I and Calc 3 are different classes but it’ll work out. Especially since you’re at 6 (which isn’t too bad anyway) and there’s a month before classes start.
