Wait the callbacks or when they are going out? shouldnt they be going out within the next two weeks in order to make time to travel?

march 5-7 is callback weekend. and seeing as they are all done with auditions and callbacks so close, calls/emails will surely be in in the next week in a half.

I heard that they let you know around Valentine’s Day, so you’ll probably find out sometime this weekend.

Nope UCLA is the same as everyone else. You go online like all the other poor folks trying to get into UCLA. UCLA will get a date assigned to it by UC. That’s when they release. It must be March 15 this year, but the website will tell. I don’t think its changed from last year.

A friend of mine received an invite to Minnesota’s callback weekend yesterday, so they should be out.

Ugh. I haven’t heard anything thus far. I’m guessing it’s a no. Time to keep moving forward!

Wishful thinking So do we only know of one person at this point who has been called back? I’m hoping they wouldn’t do all 60 callbacks in one day.

I’m going to stop now lol

i’m right there with you…how did they find out, phone, letter? good luck everybody!!!

Hi littlemermaid13 and StopThinkingFeel - my son received a phone call on Thursday for the callback - But I honestly do not know if they made all the calls… sorry

Good luck to both of you! I know you are both going to do great :)

Congrats to your son, actingmom! That’s incredible and I know you must be proud! Has your son (or anybody else on this forum) heard anything?

I’m trying not to let it get to me. Everything will happen how it’s supposed to. At least that’s what I think. And I think I’ll hold out until monday or tuesday. After that, it’s time to leave it behind :)

I just had my SUNY
Not to belabor the SUNY Purchase thing, but I just had my audition and they told us that acceptance phone calls would go out the first week of March, with rejection and wait-list letters happening sometime around then as well (rejections beforehand and wait-list after, I think). Roosevelt CCPA – 2-3 weeks after your audition
SUNY Purchase – Decisions begin 1st week of March

Juilliard Final 40 Callbacks when out today.

complexlife - were you one of the lucky 40
?

My S is one of them. He worked really hard! I’m so proud of him. The young man next door who went to Columbia University who applied for the Artist Diploma is apart of the final 40 as well.

Congrats to your son! That’s a major accomplishment. You have posted elsewhere that you have a child already at Juiiliard and one at SUNY Purchase. This is your third child who is also an actor? The talent must run in the family!

Many of your previous posts are written as a student. Sorry for my confusion.

complexlife that is awesome what an accomplishment! They said 1,200 kids auditioned this year and on top of that you already have one at Juilliard and Suny Purchase!

My son heard yesterday that he was placed on the wait list of 10. While it is doubtful a spot will open up, he was quite thrilled to being given that placement. He was the only high school senior at his first round callback the day he auditioned. Was your son as well? My daughter made the first round callbacks two years ago, but that was as far as she got.

Congratulations to your son you must be so proud and he must be ecstatic
!

Actingmom, that is so great about your son, particularly as a senior in HS! I hope he finds it affirming.

Hey Soozie - thanks so much! He knew going into this audition the odds were stacked against him. At his audition we were told that actors audition and get callbacked 2 or 3 times before they are accepted… in fact that was the case with one of the actors at his first round callback… Regardless of the outcome, he felt he learned a lot and is honored to have been a part of that experience!

any suggestions on how to kill the time waiting?
