So I'm a rising sophomore at St. Joseph's University and I want to transfer to Fordham University [a fellow Jesuit university]. My first semester I got a 3.4 with one W on my transcript because of medical leave [I explained that thoroughly in my essay]. This semester it looks like I'm going to get a 3.2...so an average of 3.3
I handed my application in in person and got all my materials in by Feb 2nd.
I also had a 3.0 in high school but took all honors courses and I think the weighted GPA was 4.5 or something to that effect. I had pretty good extracurricular activities also. 1170 out of 1600 on my SATs.
Anyway, applications for fall transfer aren't due til July 1st. Online it says that the review process begins at the end of April and then it's a rolling notification.
A couple of questions because I'm getting too anxious.
When do you think I should hear?
I sent my transcripts in Jan/Feb...do I have to send them again for my spring semester grades?
How do my chances look?
Thanks in advance!

Someone help me out?

Uh, did you get any kind of login information so that you can access your application to know that it's complete? Have they confirmed completion already? If so, then when?

Chances? I have no idea. Hopefully someone comes along who does.

It sounds to me like you have a pretty good chance of getting in. I'm pretty sure Fordham lets in a good number of transfers, so clearly that's to everyone's advantage. Fordham administration can be a bit frustrating, but I'm sure they'll send you something relatively soon. I mean, obviously you got your stuff in early, so you should be all set.

Which campus did you apply to? Rose Hill or Lincoln Center?

Bourne: No I didn't get any kind of login stuff. When I applied in high school there was only one school that did that. A few days after I handed in my app I got an e-mail confirming that they got it and would contact me if they needed anything.
Firefly9: Rose Hill. I love it! I'm going to try to call admissions today to see about my transcript question.

Hey Cat933- I am in the same boat as you, so I called them a few weeks ago- if you are currently taking classes it is a rolling notification after they receive your final transcript! So frustrating I am getting squirmy I also want to know already!

Jesuit schools are amazing. I will probably be turning down Cornell for a Jesuit school, thanks to the extremely generous merit-based package they gave me.
