my regional counselor left me a voicemail and said something kind of private about "if they decide to go to another round of waitlist admissions"

was this spontaneously or as a response to a call you made?

ARgh! i hate how some admissions counselors will tell you something completely different then others.

Hey guys and gals,

Just to let you know, a Penn associate dean gave me conditional admission off the wait list provided that I commit (I had to milk the news out of him). Penn was originally my first choice, but I fell in love with Brown after I got to know it better. As of now I am still leaning towards attending Brown next year...

So I am most likely going to...decline his offer.

You're welcome. :)

Hey man haha thanks.. i mean you deserved it but if you fell in love with Brown good for us hehe.. If i get in ill think about the spot that you left and that someone will definately get hehe... Well that gives more hope to the rest of us..

Mmmm im still wondering all decisions will be mailed by Friday.. we all know that but.. could someone have been accepted but never received a call?? or is the call like a requirement??

how many rounds are there going to be?? I know they're going to keep going until they get 90 but i mean, how many are they going to notify during the first round and so on???

well good luck to everyone im also excited bout hearing from Penn soon..

tryin2Bcool, it was pretty much spontaneous and unexpected from him. we had talked the day before about the waitlist admissions but we kind of closed the conversation, so i wasn't expecting him to call me back. and now we're playing phone tag since he left me that voicemail while i was in gym class and i had to call him back and leave a voicemail, and oh... it should be fun. i'll keep you guys updated with anything i hear today.

My son was contacted by Upenn admisssions on May 8th who left a long voicemail asking whether he was still interested. He phoned them back and told them definately yes. The admiss person said that it looked very good for him to be offered admission but never mentioned being taken off the waitlist. They also said that before they could offer him admission for certain, his app would be reviewed by adm committee again. They told him that he would receive an e-mail by the 12th with decision. (accepted or rejection?) They never e-mailed him. He will phone Penn admissions this afternoon to find out what's going on. I'll post what happens. Anyone else in this same situation?

@dbe62, do let us know what did they say.

Good news about my son's waitlist status. He phoned admissions and they apologized for not e-mailing him and that he was accepted (SEAS). They said he should receive his acceptance and financial aid package by tomorrow (Friday).
Good Luck to everyone who is going through similar waitlist stuff.

Well, me letter from Penn changed to an acceptance ... and I got my financial aid, which was pretty good. I am still waiting on my Harvard letter to make my final decision.

If you were accepted from the waitlist, you should check the Penn decision page to see whether your official acceptance has been loaded.

^ How long did Penn give you to decide?

Got my package today!

The letter says ten days from the date of the letter-- May 12, in my case.

hmm.... i still need to get my package. tickytock14, what carrier delivered it? usps, ups, fedex, or dhl?

usps priority mail

Hey congrats to all the accepted on the first round!! when does the second round start????

does anyone know what was the number of accepted students on the first round??

I recieved my official package today from CAS. I m probably accepting UPenn's offer of admission. Good luck to all of you!!!

hey were u in the first or second round of acceptances?? well congrats... Does anyone know when will the second round start??

I'm still waiting out the waitlist. Does anyone know when we are notified? I sent in my blue waitlist sheet and a letter of continued interest/recent achievements, but I have yet to be contacted by anyone. I guess it doesn't look too good for me, but good luck to those who were accepted so far!

I'm from Kenya and was wait listed and the whole waiting business is just too much. can anyone help me with the office of admission's phone number so that I may contact them? Or better still, their email add. Please help.
