i was waitlisted oos last year but got in. i think around 10% got in last year and 20% the year before off the wait list (see their CDS for complete statistics).

@appcal Thanks, do you remember your stats and what school? And did you send a letter of interest?

I actually sent a letter, visited the school again to talk to an admissions officer, than sat in on a class. I wouldn’t count on anything tho.

Hey guys! Also waitlisted for the College of Arts and Sciences and looking to major in Global Public Health (part of the Global Studies department). Sent my letter of continued interest today and wish all the best for those who are also still reaching out to UVA as well! Any tips/insight from current students who were accepted off of the waitlist?

Sorry for late response, @unihopeful21 , I sent it to the application info email. On the Notes from Peabody blog, Dean J states that UVA actually prefers that updates be sent through this email (if they are sent anywhere else they will be forwarded here anyways)

yeah i saw two people so far that have “just received an offer” or were “taken off the waitlist” idk whether or not to believe considering its past their office hours and it’s not past may 1st
