The Waitlist

If anyone has any info with the waitlist and how many people are on it/get admitted or blinn team

I heard the wait list is the largest it’s ever been and the majority of students they’re admitting are international and out-of-state because of the budget allowances. International students = more money in tuition. I’m in the same boat. I got wait listed and I’m a transfer senior so if I don’t get in I’m basically out of luck.

Thanks for the reply. I wish they didnt make the waitlist as big, but maybe i wouldnt be on it lol

I’m wondering how, if you have an acceptance, you can decline it. I know my son isn’t going to attend A&M, so would like to open that spot to someone else, but I can’t find a way to do that. On the application screen, under step 5, it only allows you to accept.

The acceptance will stay until May 1. It doesn’t matter at this point, they arn’t going to give his spot to someone else right now. After May 1 and he has not accepted, the offer will be rescinded. You don’t have to decline the offer.

I see in your posts that you expressed interest in the Corps of Cadets on your application. Have they called to recruit you or ask you any questions?. My son got a call the other night from them but he has “spent the night with the corps” and visited them during campus tours etc… just wondering if they are still recruiting those who expressed interest.

I’ll send an email or two, thanks a lot.

I sent you a msg. please read and respond via messages

All we can do now is wait, has anyone called OAR and asked how many are on the waitlist and the odds?

I have called but I can never reach anybody. I have an appointment next week with an admissions counselor and I’m going to ask. I’ll let you know though if I find out. What’s terrible is if I had stayed at my former community college I would’ve automatically been admitted through TAP…if only my advisor would’ve told me.

Well, one spot is about to open up … My S is going to Texas. All things considered, Texas is going to be less expensive for him and Texas is ranked much higher in his major.

I write this to give you hope. Decision day is coming. More and more will be picking schools. Maybe quite a few will choose somewhere other than A&M and you’ll get a spot!

i dont think the waitlist has anything to do with transfer students.
