I want to apply for Wharton but as the chances seem pretty slim (2270 SAT, soso EC, 3.89 GPA). I'm thinking of applying to CAS ED and IF I luckily get it, then looking for what people say is the larger chance of going into Wharton the second year. Does anyone know the average "requirments" for Wharton if applying for it undergrad and whether it is easier to get into Wharton after going to CAS the freshman year?

The general consensus is that you need a 3.8 GPA to transfer from CAS to Wharton after first year. And trust me that’s no easy feat to accomplish at Penn.

Thanks for your comment mathematicism. I’d really like to get into Wharton but its a REAL reach with what I have. I even considered changing to RD to send my december SAT in when i received the oct scores… Do you think I should just apply for Wharton and pray to god?

Honestly I think you are indeed very competitive for Wharton ED. Your SAT score at 2270 is nothing to be worried about. If that still cannot re-assure you, the link below might help.
