The Weather

Okey despite if you believe in Global Warming or not... this is some messed up weather.

On Monday yesterday, in the morning it was extremely windy, and sunny. Soon after, the morning was filled with intense, heavy rainfall. Literally pouring. Then that afternoon it was completely sunny, about fifty degrees at night. Today it was 72 degrees, a record high, and now it's going to thunderstorm (I hear the thunder already), and it's predicted to snow.

O.o...

Any of you have some messed up weather?

Oh yeah! Last week we had a horrible blizzard and had a snow day, but that might've been the week before actually. Today and tomorrow highs are in the 50s which is unheard of here in February (all of January kept us in the -5 to 20ish degree range) and tomorrow we're supposed to have a thunderstorm as well!

We had a cold day just a few weeks back (windchills below negative 30), today it hit sixty. This is the first time ever we had an outdoor birthday party for my cousin. (60 in February in Michigan? Gimme a break.)

haha i'm having some of the same weather you are JakaAmalgam. i'm right below you in oklahoma. yes, this weather is really strange.

I live in the south so...

It has been in the 80s for the past week or two, and high 60s and mid 70s two/three weeks before that. So this year, we got like 2 days of winter (in the 40s).

Right now, it's hailing. My backyard's covered with a layer of ice cubes.

We've been having snow storms for the last two weeks.

It was 70 degrees today...

VA has strange weather... :O

Man it's getting warmer. We haven't had a single snow day this year. Positively ridiculous. It matters to seniors because we don't have to make up snow days, as we'd have graduated by then. So... I need to start preparing the ice machine. Ahem.

you guys are soo lucky to live in cold weather/snowy places! at least, to me. Right now its raining, which is good because we are in a drought.

You guys must all be crazy. It has been one of the coldest winters in years here. I spent 99% of jan. below zero (went to 32 on jan 31!)

You guys realize that global warming can cause an ice age (my bio teacher explained it to me but I don't remember how.) The ice age in the day after tomorrow is caused by global warming. Any pattern of irregular weather is an indicator of global warming. I live in Delaware and typically we've got around 35 as our high for february, it was 69 degrees today, but on friday, snow is in the forecast. It's so weird.

I know raiderade! I live in DE too, and this week has been spring weather. It has been really crazy, all of my teachers joke that spring fever is going to start early.

In North Carolina today was ridiculously warm .... lots of people wearing shorts. We've had barely any snow this year and I doubt we'll get any more.

I actually have spring fever. Last night I couldn't bring myself to do any work at all.

You should experience weather in Plattsburgh.
That's crazy. It snows, hard, and it's literally still warm enough to walk outside in a short sleeve t-shirt and shorts.

More rain is expected for SoCal over the weekend. January was one of the warmest and driest ever, with barely any rain and temps in the 70s-80s most of the month. February has been mostly 50s-60s with a few inches of rain so far

Ok, so what is the difference between freezing rain, sleet, hail and all of the normal ones lile snow and rain?

They're all different. Freezing rain is rain (raindrops) that freeze once they hit the ground. Hail is formed during thunderstorms so mainly in the summertime or so, and so they form in the clouds, so they're already pretty sized up before they descend, and sleet is like raindrops that freeze when they're falling.

The weather around here has been varying a bit lately. 2 weeks ago,it was in the 80's. For the past week, its been in the 50's raining.

P.S Im in soCal

Oh. That actually solves so much.

I've wondered about that since I was around five.

Argh, once again, we got like five inches of snowfall... on Saturday. Bloody useful that is. And it's once again sunny on Monday. Conspiracy, I say.
