The week before the ap's

I'm sorry but I'm going to rant here.
Who the f**k gives an essay, a test, chapter outlines, two quizzes,
mandatory 3 hour review sessions, and review packets right before the AP'S?

Is it so f**king wrong to give us time to study for the AP's?To let students
review the way they want at their own pace?

What the f**k is the point of making us practice tests BEFORE we're done studying?
And an essay? A test?
And those mandatory review sessions where we spend three hours either doing
AP questions that I could review on my own at my own pace or asking stupid questions like
"What was the date of the Miller v. Johnson case?"

God my hs is ****ing me off. They do this ALL THE TIME; making students
do pointless review packets and whatnot in the name of reviewing, actually deterring them from studying.

I have 4 AP's to study for and here I am, 3:30 in the morning, doing pointless busywork
that does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in prepping me for the AP's.
I'm NOT the person who learns from mass review sessions or packets or whatnot.
I sit down and study my damn notes at my leisure and then do whatever review packets I find online.

And those stupid projects that we do to kill time after the AP's- mock elections, poetry videos, the usual gaggathon.
Why? What is the damn point?
I'm sick of this hs busywork BS.

Word up! Like seriously though, I hate busy work -_-

I’m just not studying for first week AP’s. ***** this.

My reiview sessions for Ap bio is pointless. The things we are going over are things the regular bio kids can answer. She’s also making us do flashcards, which I could’ve bought on my own. For APUSH, the work is actually worth doing, but I’d like to just read my AMASCO book rather then fill out graphic organizers. That’s why I’m turning in my 19 short answer questions 3 day late with thoughtful answers rather then bs-ing it; my teacher grades it on completetion. For Ap Lang, we have nothing. And the ironic thing is, I’ll probably get a higher Ap score on the subject I had the least amount of bw.

My APEH teacher’s pretty chill about giving us review time. We just have review lectures every day and he’s alloted us sections of the curriculum to study every night - and to make sure we do this, we’re quizzed on the stuff the day after. And we have a practice exam tomorrow after school, and if we get a 3 on the test, it’s an A on our final exam. :D

I have to write an essay and do a research paper this week, sucks b/c it gets in the way of my ap studying. . . But Oh well I will be able to breathe like a normal person again once the aps are done. AAA, AHH, EWWWW, AAA, AAHH, EEWWW snort lol

amen. i got so nervous about the workload that i started hyperventilating in my sleep…

At least you guys get to review. For A.P Bio class, we didn’t even finish the book! We still need to cover the whole section of reproduction and genetics. Fine chance any of us will pass.
I did review jeopardy for my A.P Euro Class, and Lit was pointless. Spanish was a killer, and I did not like the Calc reviews. I did a practice test on Stats, and I keep getting a 2 or a 3. I have a bad feeling about next week.

I’m freaking out as well. Our school was out for almost two extra weeks due to snow and it’s pushed back all of our learning. My AP chem teacher just condensed the last entire chapter of our textbook in fifteen minutes today which leaves us about two classes to review. My BC and CS teachers have been pretty good with reviewing and giving us practice exams to test ourselves, but my Lang teacher is horrible. I feel like everything I’ve done this year in that class has been a waste. We only started writing practice AP essays last week! On top of the prep for the exam that nobody in my class feels ready for, we have to write a speech which barely skims on rhetoric and argumentation. Just to add another beacon of sunshine, I have three SAT II’s this Saturday…
