The What if's

So..it looks like I got accepted as a transfer to my "dream" school in...But now im haveing jitters about going, all the what if questions. It's so annoying....

Life is uncertain wherever you are. Meet your fears and find out “what if.” Otherwise, you may spend the rest of your life asking a different set of “what if” questions.

1st of all, congratulations! My oldest also was accepted as a transfer to his dream school and then questioned the idea. I think that it is a very natural response. What if it is no better than where you are now? What if it is worse? Try and review your reasons for wanting to transfer in the first place. My son’s reasons were academic programming and the poltical climate on campus. He visited one more time and came away reassured that he was transferring for the right reasons. He did miss his friends and needed to adjust initially. After a year at the new school he is very glad he went through with it. It ultimately is a chemistry thing between the student and the school. Good luck with your decision!

If you don’t go, it would always be your “dream school”, wouldn’t it? Congratulations. Not many people are given that chance. It is perfectly normal to be nervous. Every time I get a new job (“dream job”) I always wonder if I could do it, maybe it’s too big for me, maybe I wouldn’t like the people or new boss.

I also think of my new friend, named Mr. college loan…How long did it take for you guys to pay yours off…Did you go to grad school, law school?

Dream job yes im very happy here at Borders, if I went away NO BORDERS :frowning: but I know I can’t stay at borders forever (I’ve been there for about 3 or 4 years) Well there is always Christmas!
