Stats:

SAT 1: 660cr 670m 680wr (i know, not too great but i didnt have ONE prep class, and not such a great standardized test taker)
SAT 2: 660mic 660phy (read above)

GPA: 94.1UW
Rank: 1/90+

Location: Bronx, NY
Other Info: I guess it was my SAT's that killed me but i was hoping that because i was in the middle 50% with no problem that my rank, recs, xtra curriculars and essay would help me out, but i guess i was not so fortunate. speaking about EC's i was an intern at NASA this summer, and i got a rec letter from the Head of Education person at NASA, one from a Cornell alumn and former interviewer (i know this was the best rec ever) and my history teacher who was a professor at Hofstra for 20+ years and knows tons of people everywhere inclucing Cornell. I guess I thought these, together with my awesome essay and just my whole background (grew up in Dominican Republic, parents divorced, lots of adversity, etc) would help me out as well but whatever.

Comments: Im completely shocked right now, i'm ****ed off but i guess the reality that it's over hasnt really set in yet. Thanks to you guys for listening to me whine, and more importantly CONGRATS to those of you who got accepted to your dream school, i hope you enjoy it.

DECISION: F-IN DEFERRED!!!!!

SAT: 680 V, 660 M, 700 W

ESSAYS: VERY STRONG

I love HE too. This is absurd. Now i gotta work my butt off to submit to other schools and send in awards and **** to Cornell so that it will go in my favor?! I am so ****ed off. Im crying....im a guy. This is a devastation to me. I worked for months on those essays and my application. I have slept, ate, lived and breathed Cornell for the past year. They take some of the most undeserving people, and those that wish the most, get the least.

General Comments: I guess life just doesn't go the way you want it to sometimes. I had a great time on this forum. I remember posting my stats earlier this year and was truly happy by the awesome advice you guys gave, especially from the current (and future!!) Cornellians. I'm so happy for all of you who got accepted!! I'm sure you guys are bouncing off the walls; definitely go out and celebrate!!! ^-^...To those who were deferred/rejected, life isn't over, Cornell isn't the only college in the USA. Ah..I guess I'll get hit by the realization of my rejection later on. Haha...too bad I can't listen to the "We didn't go to Harvard" song the same way again -_-;;....It's all good. Life deals out some pretty surprising cards sometimes. ;]
