56 days and counting!

Which ones are you going to check first?

YALE!!!
:o

Definitely Princeton

I’ll probably check in the order they arrive. I know they come out on the same day and technically same hour, but I believe usually there is a difference in some number of minutes, correct?
Of course, if they really did come all at once, I don’t know what I’d do. I think I’d sit there looking at my inbox and panicking for a few minutes while I try to decide who to face first. I really have no idea what’s going to happen that day. The thought seems a bit ethereal.

Hmm

Does the decision come in an email or do you have to log into your account to get it?

Anyways, I think I’ll go Brown, Columbia, Princeton, Harvard.

I feel like I have the best chance at the first two schools
If I don’t get into Brown or Columbia, I probably wont get into h or p. I can steel myself for the rejection lol.

It varies. I know for Yale you have to log into your account, but Harvard sends it directly in an email. Not completely sure of the rest.

I’m thinking of maybe opening my other schools first. IDK!! I have lost so much confidence and hope these two months. My chances are already less than 0%. I might just mix safeties and reaches, so the blow isn’t rejection after rejection after rejection.

Brown (deferred ED), Cornell, Penn, Havard.

More or less the order of which school I’d like to go to most to least.

I’m checking in order of least likely to most likely - that way I can think “well, if I don’t get into Princeton, it’s okay because Dartmouth has a higher acceptance rate… no, well that’s okay because I have Yale legacy… Not even? Well at least I have Penn legacy…”

Actually, I have so little hope of getting into an Ivy that I’m not even nervous. The only way I’m getting in is a clerical error.

I’ll probably wait until they’re all out to check anything, since I’d rather get all the agony over with at once than spread it out and really ruin my evening. XD I’m thinking of going least likely to get into to most likely to get into.

Wow I have never seen so much college angst in one place.

Good luck ya’all

It’s extremely anticlimactic to start the countdown 2 months before the final deadline… but rest assured, I’ll be back for 55 in a few more minutes :D

from lowest chance to highest chance. that way i can still keep my hope alive. if i get rejected to Harvard, i might still have for hope for Penn. if i got rejected to Penn first, then i would lose all hope for Harvard!

Definitely Yale last. It’s fitting.
I don’t know about Dartmouth/Harvard. Probably H and then D, because Dartmouth, statistically, is the least likely to reject me, so if it were an acceptance and the other two were rejections, it’d be a good filler in my sadness sandwich.

I think I’m going to go most-likely to least-likely - that way I know at least I’ll be going to college next year before I have to face the rejection letters. Haha, I don’t think I can stand finding out the decisions the other way around.

Well that’s a depressing outlook, let me relate my friend’s story to you:

He applied to every Ivy and was well qualified for all. He was also rejected from every Ivy with the exception of Harvard. Apparently not all schools have the same generic guidelines for what they consider Ivy-Caliber qualities.

55 more days
(technically it’s been 55 for quite a few hours already…)

My order:

Cornell –> Columbia –> UPenn

What date are the decisions being released?

Ahhh I hate that they all come out on the same day! (Isn’t it April 1?)

I applied to all 8 ![]()
I’ll look at the ones I like the least first.
Dartmouth-Cornell-Yale-Princeton-Harvard-Columbia-Penn-Brown
thats my order
