does princeton place just as much weight on the writing secion of the SAT as it does on the math and critical reading sections?

In the survey conducted by Kaplan, Princeton is listed as "undecided" as to whether it will give equal, lesser or no weight to the writing section. At an admissions info session the ad officer said that the "writing" would be viewed as part of the overall standardized testing performance of the applicant (which would include SAT reasoning and SAT2 scores). My conclusion is that it will be given somewhat less weight than the CR and Math, but more weight than an SAT2. How much more or less? Your guess is probably as good as anyone's.

Isn't it somewhat early to commit to a decision about the writing test?

Anyway, probably couldn't hurt to keep the writing score high.
