Theater/acting rejections

Best of luck, AthenaL. I would have been really disappointed too. MMC could happen, you never know. Many people get accepted off of acting/MT waitlists. And I’m sure it’ll work out in the end, especially with your determined attitude!

Thanks! Hopefully it will work out! I really did have my hopes up because Purchase said “No news is good news” yeah, it wasn’t in my case! lol Oh, well.

auditioned for seven schools heard back from two (Rutgers & DePaul) these two schools I wasnt too sold on I already know its Cali or NYU …still waiting for the important one’s the hopefuls that matter USC, UCLA, NYU, FORDHAM & SYRACUSE.

Sent from my SPH-D710 using CC

Lesterp, when and in what city did you audition? How and when did Rutgers notify you?

My D was one of the last to audition at both Pace and Fordham but thought both went well. Has anyone heard? So stressful… trying to decide if we have to trek to visit the back ups in the next couple week-ends.

I know all of the BFA MT acceptance calls have gone out but I’m also wondering about the acting decisions. Any Rogers’ assistant who is in the BFA MT program said that all theater letters (MT, Acting & BA) were mailed by march 15th. But she also said for MT they will only be either a rejection letter or waitlisted status. She didn’t know the exact status of the other theater letters. Either way we should hear any day now because I know of one person notified of BA acting last Friday by mail who lives about an hour from NYC

Most of the Fordham acceptances have gone out but there are a few left still to be notified.

Pace’s BFA flow this year included a phone interview. You would have received an email by the Wednesday after your audition weekend. If you didn’t get a email for a phone interview from what my son was told you did not make it to the decision making round.

kcdunlap, regarding what your son was told about Pace…

My daughter never got an email or had a telephone interview and was accepted BFA MT. I was aware interviews were happening and we were sweating it when we didn’t hear anything!

NightOwl2: was your daughter accepted for this coming fall? If so when did you hear about the acceptance & how?

@NightOwl sorry I should have been more precise BFA acting.

NightOwl2: nevermind I went back & looked through the musical theater college acceptance list & realized your daughter was accepted to pace back at the end of February. My mistake, I thought she had just been accepted & I was confused

Kcdunlap: do you know anything about pace’s BA Theater Arts-Acting Concentration?

Re: Pace BA Theater Arts-Acting… My D received her acceptance via phone a few weeks ago and a letter last week. She received her acceptance to Pace’s Honors College in January. But still waiting to hear from Fordham!

@nolafan oh okay thank you!

Received CCPA acceptance email today around 1 pm pacific time. Also accepted to point park, both for bfa acting. Still waiting to hear from Rutgers, Hartt and Tisch. I won’t hear from Tisch until may though since I’m a transfer.

Rejected from UCLA musical theater… :/

Rejected from BU, Syracuse and UNCSA within the last twelve hours haha. And rejected from UArts and Purchase earlier in the winter. Gotta love theatre …

My son’s about in the same position. He is rejected from all but UNCSA. Did you get a letter or email from UNCSA? no fun, no fun, no fun…

Just to clarify…he hasn’t heard from UNCSA —still waiting…and waiting…and waiting…
