Hello all. I am currently a student at a California Community college. I am a theater major. My problem is I really can not make up my mind on how and where to focus. I would really appreciate some feedback all of you wonderful people out there. After a long journey of changing my major and running from myself, I decided that I need to focus on what has always been my passion; the stage. I have been acting and singing since I was a kid. I used to put on my own plays and concerts for the neighborhood.

I feel that my real strength and passion is singing. However, I do not want to major in music. So I have decided to focus on theater with an emphasis in acting. There are some awesome programs out there. Some of the musical theater emphasis look really appealing. Which is my second problem. I can not dance to save my soul. I was thinking that would be the benefit of a BFA or perhaps some BA programs to teach me how to move. Acting and singing are as natural as breathing for me. However, don't get me wrong. I need training, and lots of it.

One school I was looking to transfer to is Cal Poly Pomona. From the looks of the curriculum, its perfect. They have all the acting, breath and movement, directing, and even the business of acting courses in its requirements. And they also have an amazing minor in music industry which I though could be beneficial with the singing aspect. However, does anybody know about the quality of their program and theater department as a whole? Is Cal Poly close enough to LA to network and start meeting people who can open doors? There are other schools I have been looking at as well such as UCLA,USC,CSUF, UCI, and Chapman.

I guess my real question is. Is there a program out there that incorporates acting, dancing, and singing? As well as providing some courses on the business side of things? If so please share any information and/or just your two cents. All is Welcome.
