Theatre Arts minor in under 3 years?

Hello, I well be attending a public college and I will be majoring in Economics and minoring in Theatre Arts this autumn. I will be entering college with 30 credits and have sophomore standing. I have very limited funds so finishing in 3 years would be of great finical help to me.

The credit requirement for Theatre Arts minor is the following:

Thea 121, Stagecraft

Thea 125, Introduction to Theatre History

Thea 130, Beginning Acting

Thea 332, Directing

Thea 425, Modern Drama and Theatre

Electives, Advisor-approved (6 credits)

Practica:
Thea 170-179, Theatre Practicum I (3 different credits), or
Thea 370-379, Theatre Practicum II (3 different credits)

Now I'm not actually concerned about the classes behind it but the Theatre Practicum makes me nervous. How will this work? It involves things like minor and major parts, stage make-up, directing, stage crafting, etc. Will this minor possibly hold me back in any way and not allow me to graduate in three years? I really enjoy theatre, so I'm hoping I can keep this as my minor.

Thanks

P.S. Excuse my naivety for posting this in the theatre majors section.

This is something you would have to find out directly at the college you are attending. Speak with your advisor on campus about if it is doable to do this minor with your major and graduate in three years. Too hard for people here to be able to say as every college is different.

Thanks Soozievt, I’m meeting with an adviser in two weeks. I’m just getting kind of antsy. I only have two required classes for my econ major and then the rest will be electives. I know there are around 5 productions each year, I’m assuming it’s a real possibility that you do not land a role or part in the production?

Edit: My Econ major is in the liberal arts school, so I am required to have a minor, my actual course load for my major is something very small, I think around 33 credits.
