Theatre Arts

Hey, I am applying to Marquette as an economics major and I am pretty sure I will stay in that field however, I am more and more realizing how much I love theatre. I just had a couple questions if anyone can answer.

Do you have to be in the Theatre Arts major to participate in the shows?

Can someone change into the Theatre Arts major?

Is the program really competetive?

Thank you so much for any help!

Answers:

1) No

2) Yes, Marquette is very flexible transferring between colleges. There is a couple you can’t transfer into or are very hard. One is the nursing program, others like engineering you obviously need to take certain required courses. You can also do some type of minor in comm. /theater.

3) Not as is the case with colleges that focus in comm. /theater programs. But overall seems to me it is a good program. My D applied but got accepted into a more focused comm / theater school and decided to go that route.
