So one of the things I was looking into when I applied to colleges was whether or not they had opportunities for non theatre majors to participate in theatre productions. I’m really involved in theatre right now, but I don’t really want to major in it (though I may consider minoring in it), but I would certainly love to stay involved and get some college theatre experience (especially if I do decide to pursue acting in the future).
I applied to UCLA, UCB, UCSC, UCD, UCSD, and UCSB. I know UCLA has Hooligan Theatre Company and UCB has BareStage Theatre Troupe, and those both sound really awesome, but obviously I can’t count on getting into those schools. I tried finding information on the other schools and only found some vague information about UCSD and UCSB, and couldn’t find anything at UCSC and UCD. Could any current students (or people in a similar situation as me) let me know if those UCs have opportunities for non-theatre majors to participate in theatre?
