theee worst scheduling conflict EVER(senior)

I didn’t say you had to do two years of German in one. Talk to your language department and see if you can “take the course” on your own time or whatever.

I do not recommend going with the free Spanish I.

You’ve already taken AP Physics B and want to take C? I wouldn’t do that, in this case. Could you arrange some sort of self-study/independent study or something with physics?

Can you dual enroll at a local community college for German and take AP Physics C at your high school?

but i want to advance in physics and C covers much more in depth/complicated material! and it is impossible to self study physics C because the difficulty is insane…physics B was barely manageable for me with self studying…

is it worth paying $280 for byu independent studies program in german??

my situation kinda sucks because i don’t have a car so i can’t drive myself to other classes after school…and my mom works so her time is not flexible
so pretty much my only option is with online classes

pig, what state do you live in? I may be able to find an online German class that you can get college credit for.

nevada =[
thanks

It says you can take German through University of Reno, Nevada. [Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno](http://extendedstudies.unr.edu/il_faculty.htm) That is the website, but I don’t have time to find it specifically. Happy hunting.

It’s really not that bad to take the AP test in your 3rd year of a language. Honestly.

self study physics…
I dont even have physics C in our province. So deal with it.

actually that’s not the issue
when it comes to time of ap testing, college acceptances will have already gone out
so when a school looks at my transcript, even if i am self studying, they would see that i was only enrolled in 2 years of german
i mean, anyone could make a note that they were self studying the last years so how credible could that be??

For the fourth time, talk to the German teacher and arrange it so that you still “take the class” on your own time. That way you can get grades and credit.

^counselors won’t let me do that

That makes no sense. You might want to ask further up the ladder, or at least start with the actual teacher/department.

so it’s really that big of a deal if i only have 2 years of foreign language when applying to ivies? =/

dunbar, most schools won’t let you do that. Mine does not, nor does any school I know of. You are more than welcome to study on your own, but you do NOT recieve credit for it around here.

Not for regular self-studying, but if you’re trying to fit in your only language I’m sure they’d let you work something out.

woot! nvm thanks for the advice guys
my mom will let me take german through the BYU independent studies program! =]] i am happy now yaay i don’t have to give it up!

Considering that you’ve already taken Physics B, it won’t be too hard to self study Physics C Mech and E&M, I self studied C for about two days and did decently on the AP exams this year.

nahhh i actually want to be in a real physics classroom for once and actually have someone to teach me stuff lol

i’m excited about independent study with BYU!!
