I know AP Physics gets you out of a regular GE, but it doesn't get you out of anything if you're in Thematic Option, right? Just double checking : )

Also, anyone know if the Thematic Option Core 102 Lab meets on the first Monday of school? I'll double check to get an official answer later, but I was just wondering if anyone knew...

Generally, labs and discussion groups which occur earlier in the week than their lecture counterpart will not meet the first week of school. For instance, if you have Physics 125 lab on Monday, and Physics 125 lecture on thursdays, the lab would not meet the first week. Usually lots of people show up just to be sure, but either there's no teacher there, or a note on the door saying to go away.

usually labs + discussion don't meet the 1st week

but some classes are annoying and they do. it's especially annoying if they take attendance because you're dinged one for the semester already.

unless it's inconvienient time just drop by and see if anythings going on. the general rule of thumb is something like, unless there's an email notification wait 15 minutes for a professor to show up, 10 minutes for a TA. If they're no show after that then just leave :)

if it is inconvienent to go then email the department (or the TO office) and just ask they will respond one word email yes or no.

Sarahjhansen ~ I thought I had heard that the benefit of the AP Physics credit was to allow you to take a fabulous honors physics course of some type. No money saved there, of course, but i heard it was really a good physics course.
