I'm sure there's a thread about this somewhere, but I couldn't get my hands on it. Info on the program and when letters of acceptance to it are going out?

Search is your friend. Decisions will be made in may

I think I remember something about being notified no later than two weeks from April 4th(the deadline)...so April 18th?

I was at my local USC admitted students reception, the Dean of Admissions, Katharine Harrington, was there. I asked this specific question, the answer was "May"

yeah graj, i read that it was two weeks after dead lines too (in the letter or pamphlet i forget). that's weird! well i guess after april 18th we can begin looking in the mail box it might just take a while

Verbatim from the letter:

"You will be notified of your acceptance status within two weeks of the April 4th deadline."

Thanks guys!

Next week.

how did you apply for that? have to be accepted in the first wave?

They send you an invitation to apply. You can also request to be sent an application even if you were not invited. Finally, there is an online form that you can fill out to apply, I don't have the link handy but someone posted it in another thread, just search for "Thematic Option". I do believe that the application deadline was 4/4, though.

My D received her acceptance into the TO program today. It came by mail.
So expect letters during the next few days, depending upon where you live.
We are in So Cal.

My daughter was also accepted. She is looking forward to intense reading/writing. :D

^ Well Columbia, if these last weeks of second semester are any indication, my D will need a serious change in habits when faced with Traumatic Option.

^It's ok to have Senioritis, especially 2nd semester of your senior year. I mentioned to my daughter to take it real easy this summer before she starts USC with Traumatic Option.

S is going to do TO also. My sense is that if the student spreads out the courses, it's not all that traumatic. But in majors that demand that all of the general ed requirements be out of the way in three semesters...Meanwhile, his interest in high school diminished to nil maybe five seconds after he ripped open the envelope from SCA.

Still waiting, hope to join you all in TO. Why is Texas so far from California :[

Also in SoCal. S got the letter for TO today, too. Also, a friend of his got her TO acceptance letter and she self-applied (wasn't a Trustee or Presidential finalist, nor did she receive and invitation to apply). Thought that was great news for others' chances.

Letter today - Northern California!

Anybody got a "Dear John" letter? Or is lack of a positive letter the equivalent of a rejection?

I got my acceptance today! Yey!
