Someone mentioned earlier that those who were asked for midyears included those who applied to annenberg. i applied to annenberg for public relations. wasn’t asked for midyears, but sent it anyway and never got “we received midyear grades” status…I went straight from prelim on jan 11 to we are reviewing on march 6..does that make me deny+?

Pinkellow…does your theor yinclude those whos status changed to being reviewd on 2/27
Anyway…i guess i would be the first to know cause i dont live in the US so they would send it in by DHL and DHL would email me about it the moment they send out the next wave

oh dang. mine changed on 2/28. that’d put me in deny +

ok that would make a deny+ too then cuz ur’s changed b4 me…this sucks balls

I just want to remind you that those rankings are informal. It goes Admit, Admit Minus, Deny Plus, Deny. There are no Admit Pluses or Deny Minuses.

you guys that are after like 2/20 that are still “being reviewed” I seriously don’t know. the dates i put down which was 2/2-20, was according to the theory. Don’t lose hope!!!

yeap,still sucking balls

ah this sucks T.T

I just took a really brief and rough look at when last year got their acceptance packages from the Decisions 2011 Thread. It’s really rough so don’t count on it!

1st wave: 1/30 (Scholarships)
2nd wave: 2/04
3rd wave: 2/25
4rth wave: 3/10
5th wave: 3/17
6th wave: 3/21
7th wave: 4/1 (rejections)

I’m probably wrong, cuz they started wayyyyyyy to early. Am I wrong? I think by analying everything we’re making everything worse. tear

SOMEBODY PROVE ME WRONG! if we just analyze march, the waves were sent approximately a week apart.

…I would like my life back now.

to be honest, i would prefer for ur theory to be correct because thats means there are more waves, and more waves means higher chance of being in a wave (before the reject wave)…but i could just be full of crap right now and not know that fewer waves is actually better…ugh w/e

its all the same cause they’re only admitting so many

your rite, i know, but just the idea of “i mite be in the next wave” is a little more hopeful..and i get more of those hopeful instances when there are more waves.

i see… i’m just concerned about getting one.

Sorry for being kinda off topic, but when I visited Notre Dame several weeks ago (I was admitted earlier), they told me that they used the admit, admit -, deny +, and deny system… which is identical to Wesleyan’s.

Thus, I wouldn’t be surprised if USC used this system as well.

Well, remember that this year there was a wave that started 3/1 and the next wave won’t start before 3/10, which is tomorrow. So they are already a week and a half apart, and that’s if the wave does in fact start tomorrow. So it seems as if this year may not be following last year’s pattern.

As a resident mom on the board, I just want to say that you all have to go to school tomorrow, and you need to get to bed right now!! (or is it spring break?) :-)

pinkellow - I still dont get how you would put people whos status changed in the 2/20s in the deny+ category…there are several people on this board who have stellar stats and had their status changed then including OP THEAjay…I think his theory makes a bit more sense cause USC cannot put so many strong students on the deny+ category

aj16-hey it wasn’t me that put the people after 2/20…it was the people that figured out this theory. I’m just following according to what they said.

aren’t the ones who figured out the theory quixotic and theajay?..i must say that they are some pretty intelligent fellas..even if they’re wrong

is theajay a dude?!

EDIT: Timely, we are too anxious to sleep! (or at least I am) haha :)
