There is hope guys! I got into uc berkeley with an 1880!!!!!!!!!!!

Omgawsh i cant believe it i got into uc berkeley with an 1880 on my SATS!!!!!!!! SCREW UCLA! I'm going to berkeley!!!!!

UC Berkeley is great about looking at the entire person not just test scores. Congrats! I am sure they saw something in you as an individual that did not add up with your SAT’s

Thank you vociferous ^^

lol i wasted so much time on my ucla appeal lol

Add to your appeal “oh and I got into Cal”.

in-state or out of state?

I got into Stanford with a 1750, no ECs, and < 3.0 GPA. Anything is possible.

I call bull$hit on both of you. Honestly, how can you score so low on sat and yet get into top programs. Is your uncle the president of the institution?

I was kidding about mine. But you can get into good places without stellar stats.

There has to be something else that you have, though. Whether it be a stellar personality or an excess of $$. You don’t “just get in” with ****ty stats (and btw OP your stats, in the scheme of things are pretty good. Maybe sub par for the schools in context…).

Congratulations, btw. :0

I think your admissions is not atypical though. the SAT 25th percentile of Berkeley students is 1810 according to collegeboard.

a lot of them are athletes lol

By a lot there could be a few hundred? Berkeley has over 25, 000 undergrads.

Oh well heres my full stats because you know sats shouldnt be the only thing that measures a person:

THATS IT! It was the Meditation Thingie! Bezerkely LOVES that kind of stuff. Perfect fit.

Congratulations.

Well, some elite and super elite schools don’t weigh SATs as they would GPAs, and probably, ECs. Cal is one of the very known ones that does that. Over at the Cal thread, 8 guys with near perfect to perfect scores have been rejected. If Cal is as “gaga” as some elite privates are about high stats, those guys would have been offered acceptances instantaneously. But it didn’t.

At places like Cal or UCLA, sterling GPAs, high school achievement ranks and impeccable past records and accomplishments which are harder and LONGER to accomplish are weighted heavier than a one time test that only needs a shorter preparation time. At some places, it’s the other way around.
