Do you think the imax 3d version will still be showing in Emeryville around the last week of August?

(yeah, can’t see it until then )

On Thursday night, I passed my my local AMC to check the lines (no way in hell I’m going opening nights, no matter how much I love HP) and it was ****ing insane. News crews were there and everything

Then I passed by AMC this morning on my way to orchestra practice and there was a LONG line…for a matinee showing. I’ve never seen that happen before. I can’t wait to see it myself.

I wish Rowling would make a Dumbledore book, like detailing his fight against Grindenwald and how he became headmaster at Hogwarts.

cool story broskie.

Am I the only one that doesn’t find Harry Potter that good of a story? And I’m not some third person critique too; I’ve read the entire series and watched most of the movies.

No 10chars.

I completely forgot the story of Harry Potter but I remember loving the books. The movies are good but, as always, cannot compare to the books.

movies=overrated by a landslide

books=to die for.

I always thought the movies were really cheesy. I always cringe whenever some of the characters (i.e., harry, Hermione) yell out spells.

Uhm Hello. Four words: The Dark Knight Rises.

^heck yes. can’t wait. bane is going to be epic.

For a minute there, I thought this was going to be a suicidal thread.

@misterelephante
me too i thought it was gonna be suicidal

^ I did as well

I’m a little worried about Tom Hardy being Bane. After all, isn’t Bane supposed to be from Mexico?

oh i didn’t know that lol. idk, i think tom hardy is a good choice for bane. he was pretty good in inception.

i’m not sure, but does bane break the bat’s back in this? lol, movie title is dark knight rises, but twist at the end: batman breaks his back.

Yeah and Bane is supposed to be smart as hell too. I don’t think he’ll break Batman’s back like the comic, although that would be a cruel end to the trilogy. (Hell that wouldn’t even be an ending at all.)

Only thing I hate about Bane is that the ending is always the same for him: someone cuts off the stupid pumps and so he doesn’t have the drug in his body…

^^ I’m not totally againt Hardy. It’s just a weird choice. Then again, I initially thought Ledger was an odd choice for the Joker and he turned out to be awesome so we’ll just have to wait and see.

@batman: he doesn’t have to break his back per se, but maybe just really hurting him (ex., making him go into a coma) would be enough. Then all of Gotham can see Batman’s value during the time he recuperates and yadda yada yadda…the dark knight rises.

Seconded. That would be awesome. I guess just like all the other book series with separate offshoots that explain various aspects of the characters and how things came to be.

i miss harry potter! im reading all the books again. I saw the movie 2 times already. the third time i want to watch in 3D IMAX. i just finished book 1!! HARRY POTTER FOREVER!!!
