Sorry to be so nosy, but I dying for any information about Bowdoin's RD admissons...tkm256 and waiting06, what exactly did your letters say, if you don't mind me asking?

there wasn't anything about admission in it

Yes, it was a very boring letter. Congratulations for being named a National Merit Finalist, blah blah blah, instead of loan, blah blah blah. It was sent March 17, if that gives something to speculate about.

Thanks for the info, congrats on being a National Merit Finalist!

I got an early acceptance (it was a nice surprise when I got back from spring break at two o' clock this morning and opened my mailbox!). I am not a minority at all. I guess my stats are pretty high.

I am really excited! I haven't visited Bowdoin at all, so I am probably going to fly out some time. I love Maine, so I am stoked.

I was deferred from ED.

I than drove the 350 miles to and from Bowdoin by myself to stay overnight and meet professors.

Since then, I have been rejected from a Safety School.
My hopes are pinned on that Bowdoin letter...

I am a minority student, but I I am not that "extremly exceptional" student . I did not submit my SAT's. All they have is my 3.4 GPA average, a Art Supplement, and the four academic rewards my high school granted me (one of them contained scholorship) I guess you can say my EC's are exceptional. I do live in a diverse area. I hope they are not sick of New Yorkers yet. I could have had better grades if I just dropped some EC's...

I hope that minority acceptance letters are also mailed on wednessday...

Man, Neal I hope it works out for you...good luck!

My D applied last year and I think Bowdoin's letter arrived about 4/6-a full week after Midd. She was rejected so I hope they didn't send the acceptances out first and then the rejections. Good luck everyone.
