@JamesSMurphy that’s true but didn’t it say the same with the May SAT? And the QAS came in the mail and showed questions from the four sections only.
There was no announcement in May @redsox99. That’s new. I suspect/hope the whole 5th section was pretest qs, which means it was only dishonest rather than unfair.
@JamesSMurphy fingers crossed! I took the test today and didn’t answer many questions because I thought this section was not scored but at least I have hope now
@redsox99, Have you received the May QAS?
D took the SAT w/o essay today and the proctor told them the 5th section would be experimental.
@VANURSEPRAC yes I received the May QAS today actually. It did not include the 5th section. And that’s interesting, my proctor said some will count and some wont which is what the proctors manual says so I’m hoping it is experimental
Just checked the mail and no May QAS. Dang it. Hopefully it will be here soon.
@JamesSMurphy I took the exam with essay, and the proctor told us there would be experimental questions (maybe the proctor made a mistake?). Though we didn’t get a ‘fifth section’, the proctor did use that term to refer to the essay.
@JamesSMurphy @Plotinus do you think SAT can just lie like that though? I suppose they never defined pretest and operational but would CB do something like that even though it’s wrong?
I guess for CB this would go into the basket of necessary business practices, like test recycling.
@GMKoon your proctor 100% goofed
@redsox99 i don’t think that CB sees it as wrong. I think they’re wrong.
