these tags have got to go. =/

Aww, is there a way to delete them?:/

I’m pretty sure this thread sucks but it is weird. I remember the midnight Jan. 1, 2000 scare like it was yesterday.

Youtube. 10 char.

OP, okay nobody uses twitter, at least where I am from. Facebook is still completly dominant. Is it different wherever you are?

Oh, and it will definitly be remembered for 9/11 and the Bush disaster.

I’ve always been wondering if technology will progress in the next ten years the same way it has in the last ten. If I recall, 2000 was dialup, Mac OS9, windows 97, huge gameboys, tape decks, CD players, VHS, etc. Huge transformation.

I’m thinking TV on computer. TV on phone. All movies will be digital downloads. WIFI across the USA. If that were all accomplished (doubtful?) then it still wouldn’t touch the 2000-2010 transformation imo.

^^^Wifi across the U.S. is kinda already happening. It’s not Wifi but it is still nationwide internet with those mobile connect card things. Also, I don’t think you predictions are doubtful at all. There already is TV on computer and phone as well. Most songs are now downloads, why not movies? A lot are already. That pretty much covers everything as already happening now so…yea, you might be right.

wait, i think we forgot about IPODS! <3

It’s amazing how much the world has changed in the past nine years. Back in 2001 iPods, Wi-Fi, etc. still wasn’t even huge. I mean, it’s crazy looking back on 9/11 footage.

Was Hilary Duff as successful as Miley Cyrus?? It seemed like it, but now I don’t remember.

^ Yes, but for different reasons. Duff’s television/film career was much more successful than Cyrus’ but didn’t make it nearly as big in the music industry.

However, neither of their careers are complete yet, so who knows what will happen?

I think hilary duff is trying to lay low for a while, as in audition for a few movies, release a few songs, but nothing majorly advertised and publicized. not until people erase the image of her as the innocent disney star lol

I actually think hilary duff was probably the last star on disney to have moved away from her disney image? i mean, sure miley is trying but it just won’t work. & doesn’t selena gomez’s acting on wowp remind you of a miniature phoebe from friends?

some change i want to see next decade; more asian fairness. seriously. i could go on forever about this, but especially in the hollywood/modelling industry, I think there are way more black models than there are asian, and much more publicity for the black models as well, even though people say they’re discriminated, etc. same with hollywood.

Food was pretty fattening back then, too. I really don’t think there’s been a drastic change in that department.

Yeah, if anything it’s only gotten worse.

i meant people didn’t distinguish food at something that’ll fatten them. maybe it’s just me but the level of “EAT HEALTHY KIDS/TEENS/ADULTS” has risen tremendously in the past five years. as far as i remember, back then it was just “don’t eat too much mcdonalds” and there were no calorie menus in the fast food restaurants themselves.
