There's something wrong with case competitions...

<p>I've done two case competitions already and they are utterly absurd. </p>

<p>Either they give you a fake company or you restrict your internet access for cases with real companies. </p>

<p>There's too little data to make any decision. There was a Harvard business case that was used. It was about BMW and its marketing campaign. There's no data about how much money you can spend, the consumer demand, focus groups and etc...</p>

<p>Basically the winner is the one that makes up the most creative marketing campaign. ***?</p>

<p>I want a case competition that either has all the data I want or at least a way to research the neccessary data. </p>

<p>It's very unrealistic. In real life you have weeks the make decisions using the best possible information. I think case competitions are all hype.</p>
