Is not being rude and condescending too much to ask of students on CC?

I am a bowler (if you couldn’t tell) and I will HOPEFULLY be playing for Tulane. I am still unclear about whether I am a top recruit for that school and if they’re going to offer me any scholarship. I couldn’t afford it without one.

similo–it’s common practice on message boards such as CC and other places to use abbreviation like S or DS or D or DD, etc.

Our D just Committed to Texas Christian Equestrian Team ………So excited

S will be attending Cornell. Track & Field. Accepted ED

That is awesome hawk357. We had a chance to do Cornell but the equestrian team was not as competitive as DD wanted it to be, but what a great school!!!

Thanks Crittermom. Very excited!!! Had interest from other Ivy’s but loved Cornell the minute he stepped on campus.

Congrats to everyone who has committed! I’m looking at the university of Alabama at birmingham and Tulane for bowling. Tulane is so expensive!!

My D has committed to run XC and track for the University of Michigan!!

D has signed with Colorado School of Mines for Volleyball - couldn’t be more excited for her :)

My D will be swimming for UChicago!

Congrats BMDDAD! He will love the Purple Bubble–as will the rest of the family–they do a good job of making everyone welcome. Well done to everyone who has heard so far. It is a long long process-- thousands of hours of hard work have paid off for you. And big way to go for all of the parents too–all of those car rides and sitting in cold rinks, or hot pools or standing around the fields–paid off!

Can I add hours of mucking stalls and hauling poop??? :p

Crittermom- suddenly a 6 hour car ride to go to swim meet doesnt seem so bad.

It seems you are quite right:
[Stall Mucking 101](Stall Mucking 101 - Horse Illustrated)

Ahhh Stall mucking 101…yes I don’t think people realize what taking care of a horse, let alone a show horse entails!! And if that horse is having a not so good day…It doesn’t matter how great of a rider you are….There is never an “I” in this sport it is always a “we”

Big Congrats to everyone that has signed on to play for college…I know how hard it is to be a top athlete! You deserve a lot of kudos!!! :D

DD has committed to playing tennis for UChicago

I just verbally committed to Notre Dame. I play lacrosse!

Lax, Are you a senior or a junior? mens or womens lacrosse? Congrats!

My DD committed to row for Cornell last week. She has a LL (applied RD) and was deciding between two programs. Now that she’s talked to the other program’s coach, she’s willing to broadcast her decision. I’m so releived to have the decision over and done with!
