These two topics sound like the same thing

UVA uses the common app, and the generic common app question is: Please provide a statement (250 words minimum) that addresses your reasons for transferring and the objectives you hope to achieve.

Meanwhile, their supplement essay is: How do the possible career or professional plans you indicated on the Common Application relate to your planned course of study?

My problem: at least for me, these essays seem like the same thing. Without getting too specific, the whole reason I'm applying to UVA is because they offer both a B.A. in my major and a B.S., while my current school only offers the B.S.. I'm interested in pursuing a double major for the sole reason that it'll help me with my career goals, but at my current school, the core curriculum and the B.S. requirements are too restrictive to conceivably pursue the B.S. and another major.

With this in mind, how should I go about writing these two essays?

Don't talk at all about the shortcomings of your current school.

In the first essay say that your goal is a double major.

In the second essay relate the double major to your career goals.
