I just got a phone call from someone (a former student) at U of M in the computer science department asking me about my current situation in how I rank U of M, if I had any questions about U of M and that department, and to invite me to an event on April 14th (where they'll be showing off some of their stuff and have guest speakers, including Tiny Fidel - the creator of the iPod). He also said that he'll be e-mailing me a formal invitation to the event. If anything, I'm impressed with how much Michigan has made personal contact with me since I was admitted (for heaven's sake, he asked about how long it would take me to get to U of M and what time I got out of school to make sure that I'd get to the event on time). He could have just e-mailed me the invite and be done with it, but he called me. That's really cool, and Michigan's getting brownie points for it.

aww i didnt get any call...lol

I think they were mainly checking up on me because I said that I was interested in computer science on my application. It's still nice that they cared enough to call though.

UMADARR, each region is covered by different alumni recruiters. Some are not even covered. It is not a reflection of the university's interest in any one individual...but the University is making an effort to recruit students...and we want you! EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

lol ok then

are you a recruiter, alexandre?

yeah i got a call from an alumni, too =]
