i hate to be annoying and overly concerned, but i never received an email sayign they received all my materials. i got a confirmation emial and pin number, but i dont think they have all my materials although i sent them out all about 2 weeks...some way before that. i worry this is why i have not yet been contaced for an interview since others in my school have who submitted maybe a few days before me..... anyone in a similar position bc that woudl just be a litttttle comforting.

Did you log into Welcome to Yale College, Office of Undergraduate Admissions and check?

yea i did. it on that site it says they list those documents after november 15th...but still, ppl have gotten emails regarding their application being complete, correct? if u have, when did u send it out?

I haven't even gotten the first email saying they received my app...how long after you sent it in did you get the FIRST confirmation email??? I'm starting to get a little worried, cuz its definitely been about 2 weeks since I mailed it in...

i got mine after about 9 days

I got both the emails- the one confirming "all my documents for reviewing my application" have been recieved and the other acknowleding that just my application has been recieved in a span of 3 hrs. on the same day. 7 days after my submission of application.

But the funny thing is that "all the documents ....." email came first.

Around our house, whenever we start worrying about whether everything's in and accounted for, I try to imagine the admissions office:

6000 electronic common apps, 12,000 rec letters, 6000 gc letters and transcripts, 6000 SAT's

plus ACTs, SATIIs, CDs, DVDs, slides, and tins of homemade cookies

all hitting the ad office within a couple of weeks. That's a minimum of 30,000 discrete items needing to be properly filed and recorded. And that's only counting the EA stuff. The RDs are also piling in.

Things are gonna get lost in the mail, misfiled, stuck under the coffee maker and so on, but I guess we have to have faith that Yale wants us to have complete files, and they know its not a perfect system, so they'll let us know if there's a problem.

Yes, they will let you know if something is missing. One of my daughter's teachers had to send her letter in three times because it had been lost or misfiled. They let my D know the first time, and they let her counselor know as well, the second time, as it was pretty late in the cycle. Teacher faxed the rec, and all was well.

Will you still be read for EA if stuff is missing?

oh yes I'm quite sure they would. They'll just ask you/yourschool to fax missing documents as ASAP said. And they will figure that out soon enough which documents are missing.
Goodluck everybody! I'm freaking out...

Is there something wrong if I have not received my PIN number from Yale yet? They sent me an email saying my application has been submitted and that I should expect them to mail the PIN number via regular mail. What is up with that?

will take about 10 days or so for the pin to arrive if you are in the US, i believe. I got mine about 15 days later but I'm overseas. They snail mail it.

I still have gotten no email!!! ahhhhh...and I can see from my checking account that they cashed my application fee lol

oh Yale!!!! Greedy greedy greedy. Give the kid some peace of mind and confirm his/her app.

but im not just talking about the email! i got one email, but i havent gotten the second email about how my app is complete nad i have a sneaking suspicians thats why i dotn have an interview yet....this system is KILLLING me.

i haven't gotten the e-mail confirming that they have received all my materials either!! now i'm really concerned.. =(
i haven't received my pin either.. just that one e-mail confirming that they received my application.

i finally got the interview today and teh other email! dont worry guys...it takes a while.

yes it does. you will get too sara. although no interview for me yet!!! and yes I'm concerned as well.
