they've definitely made their decisions already!

on the app status page, they won't allow you to change your applied major. plus, they say the letters should be out on the 15th-april 1.

question: does northeastern collect financial aid information for all students or just those that are accepted? because on my app status page it says it just received my aid information on 3/3/06, even though i submitted it in january. could this be because they just requested it to process my aid package??!

AHHHH SO EXCITED!!!

I sent my FAFSA/CSS Profile in on the 15th of Feb., and it said it had been received on March 3, too.

I think they just were waiting until after the final day for students to file a FAFSA, which was March 2, to post whether or not it had been received.

But I honestly hope that they only did it for accepted students ... because that'd be awesome.

This is so stupid, I wish they'd just tell everyone already!!!

I applied early and so did one of my friends. His page turned gray and nothing was editable as far as majors and he was accepted. Mine didnt change and I was deferred. So that could be a sign!

Woo! I really hope you are right. My majors are grayed out and I can't select them. But I can still change my name, e-mail, address, etc. Anyone else able to change their major still?

Has anyone else found out what this means? Our screen isn't entirely grayed out but we can't change the majors either. Is this really a good sign or is this just wishful thinking?

My first and second choice major are not grayed out but general studies is and i cannot select it. Could this possibly mean i was not accepted into my first or second choice major?

Where on the screen does it say general studies? I see First and 2nd Choice College and 1st and 2nd Choice Major but what area are you refering to?

On the first and second choice college drop down menu. Where it lists all of the colleges one of the choices says general studies and that one is grayed and i cannot click on it.

Okay, then maybe this is a good sign because the gray unchangable areas seem to be different for different people as opposed to all of it just appearing closed out now. Is there anyone who can still change everything?

awesome...mine are gray too!

I gotta say that would be pretty....funny(?), maybe not......if vhs was just messing around with us and the whole gray area thing doesn't mean a thing in spite of all our speculations!

It's only general studies for me, too.

I'm just happy SOMETHING was grayed out.

Hey calcaitsmom... i didnt say this was a sure thing. Just a speculation made by me and a friend.

Based on the past info I read from the "frozen boxes" thread last year, I'd say your speculation seems to have some merit.

Hey. Does Northeastern post decisions online?

No but there is a theory that if your majors are "frozen" (grayed out) than you are accepted... just a theory so don't get too excited.

If anything we know they must have started making a decision if it is grayed out.

Another thing I would do if you get anxious is try to register for myneu every day while you wait.. I guess last year people were able to register for it a couple days before they recieved their actual acceptance letters.

If none of this happens.. don't get worried, these are all just hopes of some applicants.

I called financial aid today. The lady told me I had been selected by College Board for financial need verification.

Then she added that once they recieve these documents, they would sent me my aid package.

I found this funny, and I said... "But... you haven't accepted me yet. Has a decision on my file been made?"

And she kind of hesitated.. and she said, "Regular decision? We're mailing out your letter this week."

So there you guys go. They'll be mailed out this week. Good luck everyone!

My major choices are gray too! I'm trying not to read too much into it, though...

My son's boxes are frozen. They were not frozen last night, so we figured that he will be rejected. Both his first and second choice boxes were frozen this morning. I have no idea, what that really means though.

Does anyone know definitively which day we will hear?
