They've processed my CommonApp--but NOT my school forms?!

<p>I understand that processing takes a bit of time, and I didn't send everything in until about a week and a half ago.</p>

<p>Still, WashU has processed my CommonApp <em>and</em> my teacher recommendations, yet not my transcript or school report, which I sent in at the same time and which I'd think are attached to the CommonApp. Is this supposed to be possible?</p>

<p>It’s ok. The same thing happened to me during my ED… It’s gonna take a few extra days (for me, it took about 2 weeks) , but not to fret, it usually gets processed as long as you send it.</p>

<p>The application processor people told me that school forms only get released to them after we submit the common app, so I guess there’s a bit of delay with them.</p>

<p>Yep, school forms can only be downloaded after the CommonApp is submitted. Then the adcoms must sort through everything, mix and match, etc.</p>

<p>This is just a possible theory, as I have no proof whatsoever that this may be the case, but: The CommonApp/Supplement is easier I believe, because your name is right there and because they are the main part of the file. The school forms are a little bit harder because while they do obviously have your name on them, the adcoms have to figure out what is what and sort it out. Plus there are a lot more school forms.</p>

<p>Maybe that’s why it takes longer?</p>

<p>Just to update, my portal still hasn’t changed.</p>

<p>Grr they still don’t have everything for me, and I just checked about 20 minutes ago.</p>

<p>My counselor and I spoke directly with an admissions rep about this and apparently WUSTL does the document updating a little differently. I submitted through the Naviance/CommonApp system, and it clearly stated that the documents had been downloaded by the college, so they actually had received it, but apparently they just hadn’t looked at it yet. The rep said that once they physically look at the transcript and school forms, they will update the applicant’s account.</p>
