<p>Yes, it is important to be watchful, and remember most things like ipods, wallets etc are actually taken by other students. However, according to the latest Federal crime statistics, Yale is one of the safer Ivies. These are campus crime figures from the past year, with the breakdown in terms of how many of the crimes occurred in the dorms (all burglaries except for Cornell). Previous year stats were even more favorable to Yale, Princeton and Dartmouth, generally the 3 safest.</p>

<p>A Waterbury teen was recently shot on Crown Street between College and High Streets. As of sept 5th , there had been no arrests. Just imagine a stray bullet hitting a nearby student.</p>
