Things For A Teen To Do In Las Vegas?

I think Vegas is a great place for anyone...I've been a few times. It's great to shop, see some shows, eat some GREAT food (probably the highest concentration of top-quality restos in the world), and just chill out at the pool and enjoy the 105-degree heat.

But yes, it would be nice to drink and gamble...though luckily I can do both legally at home.

haha are you from canada?

How long are you going? Being in Vegas for longer than a week under age isnt that fun but, if you are there for a week theres plenty of stuff to entertain you.

1) There are 18+ clubs, last couple of times I went to 18+ clubs with friends (of course they arent as fun as the 21+ clubs, but nevertheless, its something to do, most of these clubs arent on the strip).
2) The Promenade is fun to visit at night, its just a little off the strip, if I remember correctly its near UNLV (south side of strip). There are buncha small shops, lotsa families and teens there, its like a street side thing, charicatures, painters, games, musicians, etc.
3) Each hotel has its own thing that you can visit. Mandalay Bay has a 3-D ride and an aquarium thats pretty nice. Excalibur has a huge arcade, game area on 2 bottom floors. Luxor has a few rides as well. MGM is pretty fun to hang out at.
4) Shopping is all good, Aladdin (Desert Shoppes), Caesars (Forum Shops), Venetian, Bellagio, Wynn Hotel, Fashion Show Mall - almost every store/designer you can think of has a shop in Las Vegas. Even if you cant buy it its interesting to just stroll around. The Aladdin desert passage is fun to visit. The Bellagio has a Chihuly exhibit.
5) Shows are the best thing to do. Spamalot just opened at the Wynn. O at Bellagio and Mystere at Treasure Island are both really good. Theres a magic show at the Monte Carlo and Sahara that are both pretty good. Celine's show is actually amazing. If you have the money to spend on shows - thats definitely the most worth it. Most of these shows run in the upper hundreds for tickets.

Drew00 - I could not agree with you more. I know each place is what you make of it and blahblahblah, but it really does suck. I've lived in the dump for more than a decade. Can't wait to leave ...

I was just in Vegas last week. We walked right in to the casinos and nobody stopped us to check our IDs. And we got free drinks. We did this both on the strip and on Fremont. Clubs, though, are 21. Not to mention they have ridiculous covers. Yeah, the malls are cool but they get old after a while. Greatest thing about Vegas is that you can drink on the street.

paintinginfinite- I feel your pain (fellow Vegas-an). If you live here... it sucks... hard... Um... old Vegas rarely checks IDs but there are some 18+ clubs around that are ok. Shows are probably the best though (look for a lot of the Cirque shows and check out the Blue Man Group [personal fave]). As people have already mentioned, there are plenty of rides and stuff you can go on (if you want like an okay-ish indoor amusement park, check out Circus Circus). Nothing really amazing here though...

^ why? .
