It's a game!
List 3 things you'll miss, and 3 things you will * not * miss from home when you go off to college.
I thought about this after I was watching television with my puppy and I realized how much I'll be missing him. :( I digress.
** I will miss: **
- My dog
- Chocolate chip and hot chocolate from Panera
- My bed

** I will not miss **:
- Family problems
- Mom
- Old car

Having lots of space (I’m living in a triple next year…)
HOME FOOD. I already missed home food when I was at orientation for a day and a half, it’s going to be crazy going without white rice for months. (Haha yeah, you can tell, I’m Asian)
Being able to get away with working half as hard as I should, BS enough to get A’s, kinda study but not really (well I did study for AP tests and classes like Bio and Calc, but on the most part, I didn’t study tooo much until my Senior year).
My church community. It’s the only one I’ve ever been in and we’re a close group.

I will not miss:
Parents. I know it sounds so cliche but I’ve been aching to get out of the house since I was like 5, this isn’t just teenage rebellion.
Living in a “city” that has absolutely nothing to do.
Certain teachers (I liked some of my teachers, but others were absolutely horrible)

Things I will miss:
My house
My sister, at first less, but then super, super a lot when she’s in France
Everyone I love here
Those people who are just facts in your life
Knowing where I am/having always been here
My space. My room is bigger than that of anyone I know. My alcove filled with junk is larger than my sister’s dorm room.

Things I will not miss:
My father
Nothing to do
Lack of public transportation

My first year away from home, I’ll miss most Baltimore’s beautiful falls. They’re always unnaturally warm until mid-October, without the 80% or higher humidity unique to summer.
Good bye and good riddance to my school system’s computer network.
The other things I’ll miss are walking barefoot without odd loks and engineering club.
I won’t miss the class rank craze or AP classes.

I don’t think I can just name 3 for each… :D

I will miss:
My dog, cat, and my friends
Nice California weather
Easily accessible and good shopping
Having my own room
Cheerleading, and being part of a varsity sport

I will not miss:
My parents
A lot of people from my high school
Feeling like I’m being treated like a kindergartner at the hands of my school
School cafeteria “food”
My sister trying to steal my clothes (I’m taking all the good stuff with me, bahahahah)
AP tests/SAT/anything else that is licensed by the CollegeBoard
Los Angeles in general
Waking up super-early every morning for school
Having 6 classes a day
Having finals after breaks, as opposed to before

From the perspective of a member of the HS Class of 1980 …
I missed -
My dog
Peace and quiet
My room
I did not miss -
My brother
My HS teachers
My HS classmates

I’m surprised a lot of you won’t miss your family. I’m going to miss them a lot. The gaining of independence will be nice, of course, but I love them and am still definitely going to miss them in many ways.

Anyway, I will miss my family, friends, school.
I will NOT miss English and History classes :)

i wont miss:
my mother
high school drama
the majority of my HS student body

miss
my own space/having time to myself

Not miss
Rules from parents
School and staff including certain teachers especially band director and many classmates
City, including the city culture hahaha
