The UC San Diego School of Medicine has decided to discontinue admissions to the Medical Scholars (combined Bachelor’s degree-MD) program.
Any other good schools which has (combined Bachelor’s degree-MD) program anywhere in US.
Here is a list from 2014. I would double check to make sure all these schools still offer the program.
My son is 10th grade now . Any checklist of things he should doing now on to help him to his wish of joining combined Bachelor’s degree-MD…Any advice and help
These programs are super competitive, so he will need a High GPA with a rigorous HS course load. High SAT/ACT test scores, so test prep early on will help to that goal. Most require an essay (s) about his interest in the Medical field, so having some hands-on volunteering/research experience will definitely be beneficial. Also working on interview skills will help since most require an interview for the admission process.
Any bench mark scores for this target ?
How to get hands-on volunteering/research experience how to apporach this and where to find?
@Gjessi2020 Case Western offers a program that guarantees admission to their medical school if you apply your senior year of high school, it is extremely competitive though.
