My winter break is about 1 month long and although just chilling and relaxing seems like a good idea, i think i should do something more useful. As a premed, what are some useful "activities" or maybe even some other important things I can do?

Over a one-month span, there's not a lot.

Shadow or volunteer, if you really want to do something.

Hm, whats a good way to get a shadowing position?

Before I started college, when I was thinking about majoring in biology, the conversation of what I was going to be majoring in would come up during trips to various doctors' offices. When I told them biology, they would always get all happy on me and tell me that if I ever wanted to shadow them or help out that I was more than welcome to. Basically, your local medical practitioners are usually more than willing to accommodate you.

^^Well, if you know people who work in a hospital you can ask them to help you out. Otherwise, look on the hospital's website and see if they have something. If not, just call up the hospital. You can also talk to career services at your school...they can help you out.

get drunk. hang out with friends. HAHA, j/k

That's what I did.

Medical mission in South Africa for 4 weeks (Cape Town's awesome). B/c it's more lax there my wife saw and did more than anything she did her first two yrs of med school.
